Miami’s ports are on high alert as the entire city invisalign braces itself for the invasion. The masses prepare to hit the streets and come face to face with the hundreds of musicians arriving through land, air and sea to participate in the largest indie live music event of the year.   From December 10Th-12Th 2009, The Miami Music Festival, the nation’s newest showcase and conference for independent artists, will be unleashing troops of indie musicians live on 25 stages in venues, tents, clubs and hotels across all of downtown Miami. All genres of music will be well represented by the more than 600 performances, including: Rock, Alternative, Pop, Latin, Urban, Caribbean and Jazz.
 
In addition to the continuous performances, there will be a two-day conference from (December 11-12) at Riverfront Corridor in The Miami Conference Center. The conference will feature keynote interviews, classes, and a number of interactive sessions. Attending and participating in the conference will be executives from record marks, music publishing, and touring as well as technology, media and marketing executives. Radio program directors, film, TV music supervisors, advertising executives and other buyers of music will also be present at the conference.
 
Not the entire indie army making it’s way to Downtown Miami, is doing  so through planes trains and automobiles. A few of these musical operatives live right here in our own back yards; patiently waiting for the call to engage.
 
One such artist is Miami singer-songwriter Nathalie Bretoneche who will be performing in all three days of The Miami Music Festival. Carrying a voice that perfectly marries contemporary r&b, with the depth and warmth of yesteryear’s soul music, Nathalie manages to associate with a broad spectrum of listeners. Another artist hitting the stage but driving just a few blocks to the drop zone is up and coming hip-hop artist and producer Two-Side. South Florida Underground Hip Hop/Pop group, City of God will also be making their mark on The Miami Music Festival stages. There are various steps and procedures one can take to help improve eyesight. Poor eyesight is condition caused by our own poor habits of ignoring the needs of our eyes. The eyes are a fragile, vital organ in the body and they need just as much care as the other organs.

Palming is a way to help the eyes relax, naturally. Eyes are in fixed motion, even when we are sleeping, the eyes are moving around. It’s not possible to really stop the eyes from moving because they need to stay lubricated. But, we can slow down their motion and help them relax.

In order to relax the eyes, you must first relax your intellect. Whether your intellect is running absent with its thoughts, your eyes will strain to keep up. Palming helps relax the intellect and the eyes all at the same time. The procedure is simple and takes less than 20 minutes, but you can do it for but long you need to.

The first step is to rub your hands together to get them nice and warm. Next, place one palm over each eye. Be certain to cup the palms so they are never directly touching the eyes or putting pressure on the eyelids. Your elbows should be resting on a tough surface, like a table or your knees.

The next step is to relax, fully relax. With your eyes closed beneath your palms, feel the muscles in your body start to relax. Start from the top of your head and slowly go down to your toes, feeling each muscle in between start to relax. The more relaxed you are, the darker the blackness your eyes see will be. At first, you may see a grayish color but as you relax that gray will become a darker and darker shade of black. The deeper the blackness, the more relax your eyes are.

You want to clear your intellect of all thoughts. Forget all the lists and things that need to get done and focus solely on the darkness. Whether it helps, you can picture pleasant things like flowers blossoming or the waves of the ocean. Try to stay in this relaxed stage for at least 15 minutes.

Once you open your eyes again, things will be more focused. Colors, shapes, and lines will be more defined and your overall vision will be clearer.
